Corexsolar International (Mauritius) Ltd is recruiting a Site Engineer for a 1MWac Solar Farm project in Rodrigues.

 

Job title: Site Engineer

 

Starting date: December 2022
Employment Type: One year Contract basis with the possibility of Permanent Full-Time employment after one year.
Location/Based in Rodrigues

 

Candidate should be preferably a resident of Rodrigues or willing to work on continuous long duration in Rodrigues.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Site Management
• Take primary responsibility of the construction site
• Attend project meeting with client
• Organise site meetings
• Ensure proper document control and flow of document between project stakeholders with regards to site works
• Ensure smooth running of projects in a timely manner both internally and with the sub-contracting team
• Work on detailed engineering design for projects
• Lead project teams as assigned
• Monitor internal technicians and sub-contractors’ work
• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review work of subordinates to ensure effective and efficient employee productivity and efficiency
• Provide reports required and requested by the Project Manager / Management team
• Follow the company HS plan. Be aware of HS issues, report any on-site issue to the Project Manager and implement necessary measures to improve HSE
• Critically examine installations and pass on findings through constructive feedback to continually improve quality
• Coordinate with the client during construction phase, testing phase and commissioning of the solar farm

 

PROFILE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/ Mechatronics/Civil Engineering or Equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good Leadership skills
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
• Good Project Management skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Good decision-maker
• Result oriented
• Motivated, Proactive and Enthusiastic
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and creative problem-solving ability are required
• Ability to work both under close direction and in a self-directed manner, as needed
• Working knowledge with Autocad
• Must possess a valid driving license

 

The following would be an advantage:

• Good understanding of grid-tied, off-grid and hybrid PV system design and installation, commissioning procedures, shut down / LOTO procedures, programming, troubleshooting, monitoring and repair
• Industrial Communications & Networking knowledge, including wired and wireless networks and system topologies
